When you’re planning a city break, you can often be spoilt for choice when it comes to the activities you want to plan in. You might be a fan of sight-seeing, or of hitting the shops, either way, you can easily fill up your days with endless amounts of fun. When it comes to the evenings you might not know right away what there is to do.
So, it’s time to do a little bit of reading and find some inspiration. During your staycation in London, instead of seeing where the nights take you, why not think about planning in one of these ideas?
In A Restaurant!
It’s probably one of the most obvious choices, but deciding to spend your evening in a good restaurant never will never go out of style. London even has some of the best. If you’re looking for incredible cuisine, you’ll be spoilt for choice. You can even team up your culinary delights with a breathtaking view by dining at one of the menu restaurants The Shard has to offer.
Seeing A Show!
The famous saying ‘when in Rome, do as the Romans’ do might be applicable here. When you’re in London, can you really get away without seeing a show? Definitely not! The West End is home to a wealth of talent and some absolutely cracking shows too. Make sure to book an evening at the theatre during your stay. The only difficulty will be deciding what to see.
Walking The Streets!
Now, this one isn’t what you think. You could choose to spend an evening roaming from street to street, but you’ll probably do enough of that in the day. Instead, you’re going to want to do something entirely differently. You might have seen the sights for tours of London, or even have one planned, but there are specialist tours, like the Jack the Ripper Tours, that can take you on a historical and insightful tour of the town.
Enjoying The View!
If your days are busy with seeing sights and taking in the diverse culture London has to offer, you might want to make your evenings that little bit more special. One of the ways to do that is to go up! London has some incredible views, but they’re so much more exciting at night. Not only is the city lit up, but it seems to go on for miles and miles! You can find a list of the best places to view the city from here, ahead of planning your trip.
In Your Hotel Room!
And finally, with all the excitement and the fun that you’ve had in the city, you might even want to take one day off from doing something adventurous. Instead, you might just want to stay in. It’s a very good idea for your last night in London – especially if you’re exhausted and plan to leave early in the morning. So, get all cosy, order room service and watch movies and have a cosy last night in town.
