My Top 5!
The kitchen is one of my favourite places, and it’s a room which I am proud to say brings the whole family together. In our house we manage to avoid the temptation of TV dinners (most of the time) and use the kitchen as a place to catch up and chat about our days. This is something I am keen to continue as my children grow up. To add to this, I also really enjoy cooking, and the right kitchenware and dinnerware only enriches cooking and serving food, not to mention the right glassware for the (occasional) tipple.
Below I have put together a list of some of my favourite kitchen items on the market at the moment:
SKK Titanium Light!
These SKK pans are cast in aluminium alloy and are treated with a unique ‘Titanium 2000’ surface coating. This technology provides quick and even heating, whilst the thermo base and scratch resistance surface allows low fat frying. They are very easy to clean and are lightweight, making them easy to handle. I find these pans brilliant for day to day cooking. I have one or two in my cupboards at the moment, but would love the full set, including some of their cooking pots.
Villeroy & Boch Cutlery!
Ok, I admit I am a bit of a cutlery snob. That’s why I have treated my kids (and myself) to a set of Villeroy & Boch Children’s Cutlery Set. The Play! Sets I bought contain a Knife, Fork, Spoon as well as a small spoon. These pieces of cutlery have been specifically designed for children, meaning they have been fitted and balanced for optimum use with small hands – making cutlery training easy!
Stolzle Wine Glasses!
I have used Stolze wine glasses at home for a while now, their balance of excellent design, durability and value make them a firm favourite of mine. Often complimented by friends and family, the Exquisit collection uses machine made pulled stems to give the glasses strength, making them perfect for everyday use. They are also made with 100% lead free crystal, which provides a higher clarity than glassware which contains led. Stolzle wine glasses are often used by upmarket hotels and restaurants, so you may spot them on your table at some point!
Cath Kidston Mugs!
The Cath Kidston Strawberry Pink Mug has been on my hit list for a little while now. I have a few other Cath Kidston Mugs and accessories, I love how all of her work is vintage chic with a contemporary twist.
Child Friendly Dinner Set!
It’s always difficult to know what to use when children are growing up, whilst kid’s dinnerware is fine, it’s also nice to cook a meal and serve it on plates which don’t feature cartoons! Whilst my finest dinner sets are firmly under lock and key whenever there are children about, I find the Denby James Martin Everyday 16 Piece Dinner Set perfect for everyday use. It’s tough, durable and if the worst was ever to happen – I could get over it! It contains 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 bowls as well as 4 mugs.
Kings and Queens!
Kings and Queens provide an outstanding range of dinnerware, crystal ware, glassware and kitchenware at discount prices. Their business model focusses on buying in bulk, so they can provide their products with usually at least 20% discount. Brands within their ranges include: Wedgwood, Johnson Brothers, Typhoon, Spode and Royal Worcester. Their website can be found here: https://www.kingsandqueens.org.uk.
